Community Legal Services
A good Community Legal Services has been set up by the Government
recently, and details are available from www.justask.org.uk
This service gives access up to some 15,000 lawyers on all kinds of subjects.
You can carryout various searches, in up to 7 languages including Panjabi
spoken by some 70% of Indians and Pakistanis living in the UK.
British and Irish Legal Information Institute (BAILII)
This provides free access to case law and legislation from numerous
British and Irish courts and legislatures, with a single search engine and
uniform data formats. It includes 14 databases from 5 jurisdictions and
hundreds of megabytes of legal materials, e.g. UK House of Lords decisions, UK
Employment Appeal Tribunals, Court of Appeal of England and Wales decisions,
etc. All this available at www.bailii.org
